Hi everyone. I'm new to FC5, moving from Suse 10.0.

I read here (http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=06/03/08/2321254) (linux.com) that disabling SELinux will make Gnome up to 60% faster in FC5. So when I saw the option to disable it during Install I did.

Now, when I got to the login, my bluetooth keyboard/mouse set would not work at all. I read on these forums that disabling SELinux will do that.

So my question is this:

Will disabling SELinux really make gnome 60% faster? At any rate, I'd like to know how I can get my bluetooth set working again without having to reinstall.

Thanks!

admin > security tab to adjust selinux and your security settings also you may want to check if your bluetooth service is started on boot. I am not at my fedora box right now but it is under admin or preferences. If it is not check the box and start the service then reboot and you should have some better results. Also instead of disabling SELinux just put it in permissive mode untill you get all of your hardware software conflicts taken care of then switch to active mode./

Thanks for the reply!

I followed you instructions and set SELinux to permissive. I also noticed that this (http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=99162) thread seems similar, so I followed the instructions there.

I still can't seem to get my keyboard and mouse to move. I can't find any bluetooth config menu either. Could this mean it's not installed?
