I really want to use Fedora for a mythTv install but:
During install, install is extremely SLOW.
On first and every boot:
UDEV times out.
System monitor shows processor in full use.
Top shows nothing.
opening terminal, etc, takes at least a minute, very slow in every aspect.
FRESH installs.
Hardware:
3.06 Ghz Celeron D 345
1GB DDR400
Sata Seagate 250GB 7200RPM
SONY DVDRW
Integrated AC'97 Sound
INtegrated Intel Extreme graphics.
ASUS Spresso S1-P111 case, mobo combo
Installing from DVD i386 FC5
I don't think it is the computer, I am writing this on Ubuntu with excellent speed and expected results. Any help or suggestion will be great!
